Controls Engineer

SET group is leading the way in the application of advanced technologies for the development and delivery of high density power conversion solutions for space, aerospace, and military applications. The Controls Engineer will be part of the advanced power conversion design team. SET group is seeking the ideal candidate with experience in control theory, circuit simulation, firmware development, and testing. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced setting where communication skills are critical.

  • Deep understating of feedback control theory, tuning, and stability analysis; and basic converter topologies
  • Design, implement, and perform hands-on-testing and system integration
  • Delivering high quality embedded code for state-of-the-art power converter prototypes
TEST Engineer

Developing high-frequency power electronics systems requires a team that is dedicated to solving the challenges brought by SiC and GaN power devices. At SET group, our holistic development approach creates an engineering culture that requires creativity and clever problem-solving skills as we encounter the unique challenges of high frequency power electronics. SET group is actively seeking a Test Engineer with multi-disciplinary aptitude that can help tackle these technical challenges. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate data and feedback between electrical, thermal, and mechanical teams, and have the ability to understand and adhere to MIL-STD protocols.

  • Design, execute, and document testing of high power/high density power converters
  • Provide technical feedback throughout the design, development, and testing of SiC and GaN based power systems for airborne and military ground vehicle applications
  • Maintain procedural and environmental excellence in a high-pace power electronics laboratory
Administrative Specialist / Engineering Assistant

The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced atmosphere where strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and effective collaboration with others is imperative.

  • General engineering and administrative support of engineering projects and engineering teams
  • Establish, maintain, and update resource allocations, schedules, and other planning items
  • Assist with day-to-day operations and other executive objectives
